On Tuesday we took 15 year 5 students to Samworth Academy to take part in a multi-sports event with four other local schools. Students enjoyed practicing basketball skills, javelin, long-jump, speed bounce and chest-throw, before competing in an exciting relay race.
All the students thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the activities and spending time with students from other schools.

Cross Country at Manor Sports

Miss Strauther took a group of Key Stage 2 children to Cross a Country. 4 of our children qualified for the county competition in February. We are really proud of all the children.

Tag Rugby Festival

Our Year 5 and 6 children have been enjoying the Tag Rugby Festival at the local rugby club. They have been developing their skills and enjoying playing games. Miss Strauther said, "Their attitude to the training and the games has been excellent. They have all tried so hard and I am very proud of them. They have represented St Peter's brilliantly."

Cross Country League - October

Well done to all our children who entered the Cross Country League on Saturday. It was a cold and wet day but the children did St Peter's immensely proud. We are looking forward to the next event in November.

Cross Country - Sept 2018

We had 5 girls from KS2 who participated in the girls race. Ellie and Lauren came 9th and 12th respectively so have qualified for Nottinghamshire Schools Cross Country at Wollaton Hall in February.

We had 4 boys from KS2 who participated in the boys race. Will was our highest finisher and would have done even better if he had not fallen over!

Well done to all the children who represented St Peter's at this event. We are very proud of all of you.

Tour de Britain

We were very fortunate to be able to offer 4 children the opportunity to take part in a special event when the Tour de Britain finished in Mansfield. The children got to take part in a race to cross the finish line, they then got to participate with their families in a family dash. The children had a brilliant day participating in this memorable event.

Daily Mile

At St Peter's we have decided to take part in the Daily Mile. Thousands of Primary Schools across the UK take part in this initiative to help keep children fit. There are lots of benefits for the children including improved concentration. Children take part in this in an afternoon with their class. They are encouraged to get further than they did the day before, it is a personal challenge. To find out more about the Daily Mile please visit https://thedailymile.co.uk/
