Care Assistant

The Governors at St Peter’s Church of England Primary Academy Mansfield wish to appoint a Temporary Care Assistant to join our dedicated team of staff. The position will be to support a child with complex need.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Care Assistant who can be confident with a child with additional needs. The applicant should be a team player and supportive of staff and children alike in an inclusive environment.

We are seeking someone who:-

• has the relevant qualifications;

• understands how to use a range of strategies to get the best out of our children;

• has experience of working with children in an educational setting;

• has an understanding of potential barriers to learning and seeks to overcome these;

• is patient and understanding;

• has experience of dealing with intimate care;

• is able to deal with confidential information and liaise with professional bodies;

• is organised and able to use their own initiative to provide the best for our pupils;

• is confident, friendly and professional;

• truly cares about making a difference to the lives of our children.
