SIAMS Report - May 2022

2023 Key Stage 2 Results

School performance is measured in many ways, one being the end of Key Stage 2 SATs.  This performance indicator measures the percentage of pupils reaching the expected standard.  The assessments give schools an attainment and a progress score. The attainment measure shows the percentage of pupils who achieved the expected standard (scaled score of 100 or more) in reading, writing and maths.

The second measure is progress.  The progress measure shows how much progress has been made from KS1 to KS2.  All children will make progress but the measure compares St. Peter's to other schools nationally.  A school that scores a progress measure of 0 is making average progress to other schools nationally.  A school with a negative score means that children have made progress, but less than other schools nationally.  A positive score means that pupils are making progress more rapidly than other schools nationally.
