Loving, Living and Learning with Jesus

Welcome to St Peter's. I am delighted to welcome you to St Peter’s Church of England Primary Academy. Our school is a warm, caring and happy place and a stimulating environment, where children are at the heart of all that we do.
Our school aim is to love, live and learn with Jesus.  We believe that children learn best when they are secure, safe and having fun. Our target for all children is to leave St Peter’s as independent, confident, self-disciplined, enquiring and creative individuals, with the academic achievement necessary for the next educational phase.
I feel incredibly privileged and proud to lead the dedicated staff team at St Peter’s and I am very keen to help everyone at school to improve and reach their full potential. If you have a query or concern, do not hesitate in contacting myself or the school office.

James Marshall, Headteacher

Letter from the Chair of Governors

A warm welcome on behalf of the Governing Body of St Peter’s C of E Primary School, Mansfield to our website.

The role of the Board of Governors it to work closely with the Head Teacher and staff to provide the very best education we can for our children.  The Governors are responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance and effectiveness of the school. We manage the budget, interview the teaching staff, and ensure that the strong Christian ethos and values of our Church of England School are upheld at all times.  We maintain a strong relationship with our church - the Church of St Peter’s & St Paul’s, Mansfield.

It’s my view that the children of St Peter’s are fortunate to belong to this school community. They are taught, cared for, nurtured,  and discipline is maintained by a very caring and dedicated team, under the watchful eye of our Head Teacher, Mr James Marshall.

Learning, developing and progressing within a Christian ethos is key for all our pupils. We ensure that the children receive the best possible education in a safe and secure environment.

Should you get the chance to visit our school, you will be impressed by the many extra-curricular opportunities offered to pupils.  Dance, drama, sport, singing, to name but a few. Every child will have the opportunity to find something that will develop their individual skills and qualities.

All my 3 (now grown-up) children attended this primary school. They are all doing well and have careers. They are all married, with children of their own. I can think of no better accolade.

The following pages depict many aspects of our flourishing school, and I do hope you will find the information useful.
