Sports Week
Sports week has been a little different this year! There are some pictures and videos of what has been happening in school and at home.
A brief rundown of our sports week activities in Maple and Willow Bubbles.
Monday - we looked at creating a food diary for the week. We tasted some different fruits - figs, dates, pomegranate, dried apricot, dried goji berries and watermelon. We then looked at the different food groups and proportions that make up a healthy diet and created our own healthy plates.
Tuesday - Pupils researched a famous Olympian of their choice and wrote a mini biography about them.
Wednesday - we looked at some famous Olympic moments from different sports and looked in detail at the Olympic mascots and the reasons behind their designs. Pupils then designed their own Olympic mascot.
Thursday am - we had a Rainbow Games challenge outside with lots of mini challenges and ran some individual races. In the afternoon we planned and designed a new sport with rules, instructions and kit design.
